Lake Berryessa offers many wildlife exploration activities for tourists and locals. The land surrounding the lake is populated with hawks, eagles, songbirds, deer, and turkeys.

Lake Berryessa also offers unique fishing opportunities, because you can catch trout, bass, and salmon all in the same location. The best seasons to fish at Lake Berryessa are late winter and early spring or more speicifically – February to June.

Attractions

Lake Berryessa’s most popular attraction is its Glory Hole. This concrete hole was created in order to prevent the Lake from flooding. Even though swimmers and boaters are advised to stay far away from the Glory Hole while in water, it is a popular attraction to view from the safety of nearby land.

Boating Safety

Lake Berryessa is monitored by Napa County Sheriff Deputy Bryan Sardoch. Even though the lake has patrol, you are advised to remain alert and villigant throughout your boating trip. 

Since th effects of alcohol can impair judgement, alcohol and boating can be a dangerous mix. If you are of legal age, the law allows you to have an open can on board. However, we recommend you remain aware of the dangers and drink responsibly.
